Hai.
So I just bought GTA V on the Steam sale, as I am building a new PC, which can actually run it. For two f-ing years I have been drooling over this game all over my old laptop keyboard.
So, the question is - if I just bought the game now, will I get all the updates, or were they a one-time deal?
Because looking at all those Citroen Meharis, SM’s, and more recently the lowriders, this game seems like a dream come true...
I hope to see you guys online sometimes!
Thank you in advance.

P.S. The new PC specs, if anyone was wondering:
Intel Core i5-6600
Motherboard: Asrock H170 PRO4S
DDR4 16GB (2x8) Kings 2400 FY 1
Kingston SSD 120GB HyperX Fury
WD 1TB SATA3 64MB EZEX blue 1
Vcard: Gigabyte GTX960 G1 GAMING 4GB
Case: MS midi tower Monster blue - a Croatian product, this. A great looking case, it’s the one pictured.
PSU: Fortron 500W, Hyper 1
DVDRW LG random whatever
Monitor: Samsung S27D390HS 27”
I made some money and this is the first time in 20 years when I will finally have a cutting-edge rig, until now I’ve always had to contend with minimum specs in almost every game.
Thank you again!

You’ll get all the updates.
Be wary of the huge download though.

Yep, I might even move the whole PC over to a friend who has an optical-cable internet. It’s amazing, he can download 1GB in around 5 minutes. Or when watching youtube videos in 1080p you can just click anywhere on the timeline with no buffering whatsoever. The future is great.
Thanks for the info.

If your friend already has it downloaded you can just copy over the files with a portable hard drive or something and then you can avoid the download all together.

“ It’s amazing, he can download 1GB in around 5 minutes.”
Oh, you poor thing. If you think that’s amazing...
My bog-standard home internet (fibre) is up to something like 50Mbps now - fast enough I don’t even know exactly what it is. That’s ~6MB/s, so 350ish MB per minute, allowing for overheads etc. And I thought the UK was lagging behind a bit on internet speeds. Guess I should shut up and be grateful for what I’ve got :)

Heh, my parents were on the original ADSL trial here in London. We had 10Mb/s 20 years ago or so. Then the trial ended and we were stuck with 2mb/s or something for years after before commercially available speeds started going up again.
It’s not that long ago that I also found it amazing to download so fast. Somehow you get used to it equally fast, though.
